EMILY SUSSMAN, LCSW is a clinical social worker in private practice in South Bend, Indiana. She specializes in counseling people in recovery from all types of addictions and compulsive behaviors.

Emily began producing THE ADDICT’S GUIDE TO THE UNIVERSE podcast in 2020, with more than one hundred episodes released by the time the podcast concluded in 2023. The podcast ultimately spawned a book, The Addict’s Guide to Recovery, which was published by Freedom Recovery Press in 2023.

Since then, Emily has concentrated her creative efforts on producing THE ADDICT’S GUIDE TO THE UNIVERSE website. Her vision for the site is to provide tons of videos and other multimedia content that will help inspire people to connect with their hearts’ truest desires.

In her work with clients and other recovering addicts, Emily’s therapeutic and coaching agenda is always to guide people to overcome guilt, shame, and fear — freeing them up to live a life led by love.
