So you're asking me to take the audacious step of just ASSUMING that True Love exists? You're telling me that the most benevolent and powerful force in the Universe (that would be True Love itself) is just waiting for me to open my eyes and start ASSUMING it's there, in order for me to start EXPERIENCING all that love and joy for myself? 🤔

Okay, then I guess I better come up with a picture of WHAT, exactly, it is that I'm going to BE assuming! And that concept of True Love better be exactly what I WANT, because how in the heck would it be constructive to assume the existence of something I DON"T want???

Oh, and you're also telling me that there's no limit to HOW good this so-called "True Love" can be, as long as it's true to what I want? 😳 Well, in that case, I intend to "go big or go home" with all the loving good I'm about to assume, here. Here goes, my dear Addict friends: who (and what) I am assuming this True Love to actually BE, for me. 😍

❤️ I'm assuming that my True Love is going to be strong.

❤️ My True Love is going to be tough and tender in all the right places, and it's going to love hugging me and holding me close.

❤️ My True Love is warm and generous; it's enthusiastic and successful. It's a great listener.

❤️ My True Love is patient with me, which is one of its best qualities, because I need plenty of understanding!

❤️ My True Love is always emotionally present for me, and it accepts me for exactly who I am.

❤️ My True Love's need for me isn't desperate or clingy: it's the kind of need that mirrors the kind of need I have, too. Because when it comes to our relationship, True Love needs depth and meaning and closeness, and the security and the comfort of a truly trusting connection.

❤️ That reminds me: the number one criteria for this relationship is that my True Love is absolutely, positively, unconditionally IN LOVE with me. There is simply no question about that, because the truest truism of all is that love wants to express itself! So I am just going to go ahead and assume that the kind of True Love that truly loves and adores me is going to go that extra, necessary step and DEMONSTRATE its love for me.

And I will be ready — boy, will I ever be ready!

I'm going to respond in kind, which means True Love is going to get my attention, affection, and belief in its endless capacity for good. It's going to get love letters any day of the week, as well as other expressions of my appreciation. I want to make sure we have a warm, free-flowing, and generous stream of clear and honest True Love between us.

So, yes, my dear Addict friends, if Rule #3 of True Love asks me to assume the existence of True Love in the Universe, then I’m going to go one further and one better. I’m going to assume that this kind of love exists -- in a True Love that's just waiting to love me, too.
